On Monday 16th March the government announced that unnecessary social contact should be avoided, and that theatres (along with other public spaces) should be avoided. The safety of our customers, volunteers and staff is paramount, and in light of this announcement it is with a heavy heart that we have closed the Fisher Theatre with immediate effect, until we receive further instruction that it is safe to reopen.
All shows in March and April have been cancelled or postponed and customers who have already booked tickets will be contacted.
The situation regarding shows in May will be monitored and updates posted on our Website and Facebook pages.
Thank you for your support of the Fisher Theatre and your understanding at this difficult time.
Want a fun way for children to spend a morning in half term? They’ll love to play with traditional circus props (juggling, Diablo, tightrope, devil stick, unicycle, balance poles, Pedal Go’s, fun wheels, and plate spinning), in a relaxed semi-formal workshop structure. The sessions encourage perseverance, diligence, self-discipline, hand-eye coordination, manipulation skills and dexterity. The carefully worked out structure means that children of all capabilities achieve something.
The workshops are taught by professional circus artists from the Foolhardy Circus. The children get real hands-on tuition from people who have spent more than 28 years teaching and performing. This workshop is followed by Foolhardy’s Circus Show.
