On Monday 16th March the government announced that unnecessary social contact should be avoided, and that theatres (along with other public spaces) should be avoided. The safety of our customers, volunteers and staff is paramount, and in light of this announcement it is with a heavy heart that we have closed the Fisher Theatre with immediate effect, until we receive further instruction that it is safe to reopen.
All shows in March and April have been cancelled or postponed and customers who have already booked tickets will be contacted.
The situation regarding shows in May will be monitored and updates posted on our Website and Facebook pages.
Thank you for your support of the Fisher Theatre and your understanding at this difficult time.
Progenitors of the self-styled East Angliacana movement, Helen and The Neighbourhood Dogs combine the story-telling folk tradition with a modern day take on performance to produce what Americana UK described as “...a truck load of great songs, they really are a class act.” With four individual voices supported by a musical backdrop encompassing guitars, melodeon, alternately mournful and uplifting fiddle, the haunting thrum of the banjo, and even vibraphone, Helen and The Neighbourhood Dogs are a breed apart!
